Irrigation Feasibility Study and Construction Quality Program (IFSCQP) is one of the program/project under the department of Water Resources and Irrigation (DWRI) which primarily focuses on identification of irrigation/water resources projects and perform necessary studies (Pre-feasibility, Feasibility, Detail Design, EIA/IEE etc) which make the department ease to select the projects for further implementation. The primarily task of the program is to make a project ready for implementation. The program is dedicated to prepare projects to fulfil the government goal of achieving year round irrigation in 100% of its agriculture land.
The program already has concluded the feasibility study of Sunkoshi-Marin Diversion Multipurpose Project which is now under implementation as one of the national pride project of Nepal. Recently, the prefeasibility study of Madi-Dang Diversion Multipurpose Project and West Seti-Kailali Pandul Multipurpose Project have been concluded. Currently, the preparation of detail feasibility study report of Kaligandaki-Tinau Diversion Multipurpose project is under its final stage. The programs already finalized more than fifty detail feasibility study of small to medium irrigation projects, which are being implemented through different division offices under all seven provincial governments.
